Well, if anyone is still logging onto this page, then thanks and I'm so sorry that we haven't updated since Feburary. Life has been hetic, if you follow my fics then you know I haven't been well, and to be honest, I'm still not better. I'm having an operation on Thursday to see if the docs can find the problem, otherwise we still won't know, and I'll still be living off morphine.

All right, ladies and . . . gents? Any gents? No? Damn. Well, this month I interviewed CareMarie (my SIC from The LUV'NV). She's an utter sweetheart . . . that's somewhat of a {{--bleep--}} *laughs* I know that doesn't make any sense, but it's true, and I love her to death because of it. Although I call her "wolf girl," she's the author of Broken Hearts and Rodeo Dreams - Edward & Bella, Wild Hearts - Emmett/Paul & Bella, Fates Winding Road - Jared & Bella, Goodbye Is Always Hard - Peter & Bella, Fresh Starts - Alec & Bella + it's sequel New Beginnings (on FB, coming soon to FFn.net). *waves flippantly* Yeah, yeah, another thing that doesn't make any sense as she obviously does more than wolf fics. I may just call her "wolf girl" because you can find her on The Wolf Pack Adventures.

RSoup: *smiles* Tell us a little bit about you.
CareMarie: Well let's see. I'm 23. I have been raised on a farm in bum fucked Egypt Nebraska. I love animals as my four dogs – Copenhagen, Garth, Hallie & Tito, four horses – Sunny, Gracie, Chevy, and Zoey, and a chinchilla – Crackphene, which is the only name I can come up with, and six gerbils. Yes, I do use my horses in my stories. When I'm not writing FF, I can be found working out in the barn or with horses. If it's during the summer, I'm usually on the rode doin' rodeo or horse shows. My husband, Justin, and I have been married going on 4 years *scratches head* Holy shit, I didn't realize it has been that short. *cough* *RSoup laughs*I am working on getting my major in AgriBusiness, and yes, when people ask me why I want this major, I do want to bitch slap them. I live in a Agricultural state, so question is, why aren't you getting one? WAIT! No don't, ‘cuz if you did, when I was done with my major I couldn't get a good paying job. And let's face it, I need it with all my critters.

RSoup: *chuckles* Why did you want to become a part of The LUV’NV staff?
CareMarie: I was having some problems with the sites my stories were on, so I was looking for a new place to put them. I was also looking for something... new? Since moving over here though, I've talked to a lot of really nice people, and even found some relation in the family. *Hugs Raina*

RSoup: *laughs and hugs Carrie back* I know! It really is a small world after all! So why did you want to do V Pursuits?
CareMarie: Well I think the main reason is because I like getting to know new people. I also LOVE getting the 'behind the scenes' on stories, and finding out why people wrote them.

RSoup: What are your all time favorite books?
CareMarie: Ok, Twilight aside! *RSoup nods* I really enjoy reading Young Adult. *blushes* It's just something about them that pulls me in *sigh*

RSoup: Hey! There’s nothing wrong with that. Twilight is young adult! Is there a story behind your pen name?
CareMarie: Ha, well no not really. My name is Carrie Marie and when I got in trouble – which NEVER happened growing up – my family would just yell the first thing that came to them. When I was younger they called me CareBear. *shudders* *RSoup giggles* So once I got old enough, they just started calling me CareMarie. On some sites I also go by CanChaser because, well I barrel race. *giggles*

RSoup: *grins and begins to shake* CareBear, how did you discover Fan Fiction in the first place?
CareMarie: *raises eyebrow at Raina* Oh man. I actually can't remember what brought me over. *Thinks* I think after I read the books – multiple times – I went online and wanted to see if there was anything more. I ended up stumbling upon FanFiction.net, and I have been hooked since then.

RSoup: Do you remember the first Fan Fic you read?
CareMarie: I'm pretty sure it was Baby Blues by BellaCullen884 – I didn't register the fact that I could pick anyone other than Edward- *sigh* What a dork I was *laughs* The first story I read that was NC was Journey To The Sun.

RSoup: I didn’t know that either until about six months in. Okay, so I know being a Vistress for The LUV’NV can be really time consuming, but are you currently reading any fics?
CareMarie: Oh yeah! *sigh and gets the list* *RSoup chuckles*

RSoup: What are your top five favorite fics?
CareMarie: *Thinks* Why did ya have to put me on the spot *giggles* There's so MANY great stories out there. *Hides* I'd have to place these ones as my top stories

RSoup: Do you have a favorite pairing? *Rips a piece of paper and balls it up, waiting for her to say Jasper and Bella*
CareMarie: *giggles* Well, while I do like Jasper/Bella stories, I can honestly say I like any story that isn't Bella/Edward. In the Twilight Saga, Edward came off to me as a cocky prick. He controlled everything, and I just hated it! I enjoy imprint stories with Bella, or Emmett, or Jasper.

RSoup: I thought the same thing about Edward in the saga! A lot of Fan Fiction is, sadly – or maybe fortunately – *laughs* just as good, if not better, than the saga. Is there a pairing you’d like to see, yet is barely done or completely non-existent?
CareMarie: Man I'm not sure. I love how ballsy Lifelesslyndsey was with a Bella/Alistar in Hit and Run. I think with Bella I'd like to see her more with people that are barely mentioned in the series. S. Meyer left a lot of characters open with no background. It would be cool to see what people see that those characters backgrounds.

RSoup: *nods eagerly* It definitely would be. *Looks at Fandom* And it’s part of the point of The LUV’NV. *chuckles* Do you have a favorite POV to write in?
CareMarie: No, not really. In most of my stories, I do every other chapter in a POV. I'm sure if I wasn't as mouthy, or cuss all the time, I probably wouldn't feel comfortable with writing in a males POV. But eh, I am mouthy, and I do cuss a lot.

RSoup: *throws her head back and laughs* Not as bad as me! Who is your favorite character from the saga?
CareMarie: *Scratches head* That's another tuffy. I would say Bella, but I thought in the saga she really needed to grow some balls and stand the fuck up to Edward. *RSoup nods* I would say Edward, but as I said before, I think he's just a cocky prick. I do however love the wolves! The way Embry and Jared banter back and forth, plus the eye candy don't hurt anything.*winks*

RSoup: What inspired you to actually write and post a fan fic?
CareMarie: I guess there's not many 'horse/western' stories out there and I just wanted to see more.

RSoup: Tell us a little bit about your stories.
CareMarie: *Stretches fingers* Broken Hearts and Rodeo Dreams is actually the first story I wrote. Again, I mainly wrote it because there isn't many horse stories out there.

With Fresh Starts, the idea actually came to me when one of my friends said that Alec was hot. I actually looked at him – outside of the movies – and agreed with her. So I just sat down and started writing. Fresh Starts is what I came up with and many have asked for a sequel. Am I going to give one you ask... The answer is... *drum roll* Yes I am going to write a sequel. It's called New Beginnings, and can, as of right now, only be found on Facebook. I haven't put up the first chapter yet.

Fates Winding Road is, totally not going to lie, my baby. I wanted to see Bella in an imprint story and I sat down and looked at the wolves. For some reason Jared just jumped out at me. It don't give much of his history in the saga, so I didn't have to 'make' him a certain way.

Wild Hearts is another horse story of mine. It is an A/H story of Bella growing up on a ranch, and where her life is going to lead her.

Goodbye Is Always Hard is going to be another baby of mine. It's a Peter/Bella story. It shows how underage drinking can, in fact, impact lives of those around you.

RSoup: Many authors write what they know, do any of your characters resemble yourself, or remind you of a specific time in your life?
CareMarie: Yes. Both Broken Hearts and Rodeo Dreams and Wild Hearts are the rodeo/ horse side of my life. The feeling in those stories, from the freedom of running on a horse, to getting thrown straight on your ass, those are all the true feelings I feel. And if anyone has ever got thrown from a horse, you sure as fuck know it hurts like hell!

Now onto Fates Winding Road, *sigh* most of the events in that story are true and have happened in my life. I actually had a reader mail me telling me that the way that I described the feeling, the way I described the way the world was pretty much tilting, she said that I really did my research. My response to her, the only research I did on anything in that story, is from real life. I have been told that once you start reading Fates Winding Road, you can't stop reading it until you hit the end. I made it so the preface really brings you to where you just want to read more.

RSoup: Sometimes, as authors, when we’re finished writing a fic, we look back and wish we did something different. How do you feel about the way your fics turned out?
CareMarie: Well I only have two that are finished, and I can say that with BH&RD being my first, I wouldn't change a damn thing about it. That's how I got my writing style, so why would I change it? Fresh Starts, I wish I wouldn't have 'rushed' the endin', but hey! So is life.

RSoup: *nods* Do you have any ideas for your Fresh Starts sequel that you’re willing to share?
CareMarie: I have no idea how that's going to go since I haven't started it *giggles* I do know that with the Volturi and Wolves involved, theres going to be lots of drama. I do have another story that has been rolling around in my head since before I even started writing FF. My best friend is actually pushing me to start it – according to her – a year ago. Apparently, she thinks my life is interesting, and wants me to write a 'life story' and place it into Twilight World. If I do move forward with it – pretty sure I will – all I gotta say is, hang on fucking tight. It's gonna be one hell of a fucking ride!

RSoup: *laughs* Do you read extra citrusy fics? *scrunches her face and giggles* Is citrusy even a word?
CareMarie: *Giggles* We'll say it is because, well it's us so why fucking not? Yes, I do, and yes, I fucking love them! Authors have some fucking balls to write those scenes and place them out there for all to see!

RSoup: How do feel about fics with BDSM?
CareMarie: *Giggles* Well, go through my fav's list on FF. I'm sure you'll find about four or five, maybe more BDSM stories on there. So I guess, I don't mind them?

RSoup: Such a smart ass. *chuckles* Could you write a story with BDSM?
CareMarie: Well um, *blush* I usually write what I know, and I gotta no clue about BDSM. Hell my 'lemons' should probably be considered oranges *chuckles*

RSoup: *Laughs and immediately chokes on her coffee* Okay, let’s finish off with your favorite sex position. *Grins*
CareMarie: Hmm real life or story wise?
RSoup: *giggles and raises a brow* Both.
CareMarie: *Giggles and blushes* Story wise, hell anything will work ‘cuz after all we can make them suckers as fucking flexible as we want! Real life... I'm a cowgirl... so wouldn't you like to know. *winks and bows* Yes, yes I went there.

Hello, everyone!
I'm absolutely giddy about sharing this interview. It's with my favorite author, the one writer I don't even have to think to scream "I love her!" at the top of my lungs, because it just slips right out. *laughs* And what's even more awesome. . .she's now a staff member of the site I created, FTLoNC's Sister Site – The LUV'NV.

I'm talking about wonderwoundedhearers, the talented author of the fan-fic-tastic stories The Subtle Grace of Gravity - Peter & Bella, Broken Moonlight - Jasper & Bella, and 101 Tales of Love, Lust and Desire. She has so many more, including Aro & Bella fics, a Demetri & Bella one shot, and a ton of non-TwiFics.

But my all time favorite – the fic that made me fall in love with someone I never imagined I would, thus inspiring me to write my own fic of that pairing – is her story Crimson Starlight - Caius & Bella.

Meet wonderwoundedhearers...

RSoup: Tell us a little bit about you.
Wonder: I’m an eighteen-year-old full-time student at a University in the UK, studying for a degree in Psychology – it’s murder, but so worth it *winks* I love watching films and TV, drawing, listening to music, reading, and going out to do mad shizzle with my friends in my spare time. I have my lip pierced, my ear cartilage pierced, my ears pierced, and my belly-button pierced, and soon I’m hoping to get a tattoo of my own design. Finally, I have a soft-spot for horror movies and chicken and bacon sandwiches.

RSoup: Why did you want to become a part of FTLoNC's sister site, The LUV’NV?
Wonder: Apart from its excellent taste ((;) *RSoup snickers* I really like what it stands for – it’s not your run-of-the-mill, everyday TwiCommunity; it’s got a mix of writers, fics, goodies…etc., etc…. And it supports one of my favourite ideas – to love the unloved.

RSoup: Is there a story behind your Pen Name?
Wonder: My penname’s taken from this quote, which is taken from Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ – this scene is my favourite in the play and when I first started writing FF I was studying it in my English class. I just think it’s beautiful.

RSoup: *speechless, then shakes her head* You’re right – it is beautiful. No one writes like that anymore, you know? Anyway, how did you discover Fan Fiction in the first place?
Wonder: After I read ‘Breaking Dawn’ and then went back to the Isle Esme scenes, I realised just how depraved I was – I needed to know what happened, and only FF could give me that. I trawled through crappy interpretations until I came to fanfiction.net and found the mother-load of awesome stories. I officially saw Jesus. Beard, sandals and all.

RSoup: *laughs* Do you remember the first Fan Fic you read?
Wonder: I don’t have a name, but it was a nice little one-shot about Isle Esme and what happened there – it was really good; not too smutty, not too fluffy.

RSoup: I know being a student and a VStaff member can be time consuming, but are you currently reading any fics?
Wonder: It’s very time consuming, but entirely worth knackering myself for (: At the moment, I love ‘Hit and Run’ by lifelesslyndsey, ‘Take This Heart’ by BookwormBaby2580, ‘Conversations with My Killer’ by Oracle Vas, ‘Of Morals and Temptations’ by Piebald46, and ‘Long Way Down’ and ‘Aftermath’ by forthelongestday. I’m also reading through ToryTigress92’s stories at the moment, because she’s having a bit of a pause – her stuff is ah-mazing.

RSoup: *grins* What are your top three favorite fics?
Wonder: Ever? Gosh. Uhm… I think they would be…‘Love Never Dies’ by ToryTigress92, ‘The Orbiting Meteor’ by IdreamofEddy, and ‘Conversations with My Killer’ by Oracle Vas. To be honest though, ToryTigress92 is so awesome that I can’t really choose between her Aro/Bella fics for my fave – but TOM and CWMK are definitely top favourites, below LND though of course (;

RSoup: What’s your favorite pairing?
Wonder: I have always, and will always, love Volturi/Bella pairings above all others – I mean, I love Bella/Peter so much, but not as much as, say, Bella/Aro. There’s something so sexy and sinister about a relationship with one of the Volturi, especially Aro – he is the epitome of the dark, twisted, yet undeniably suave and seductive, character that all self-respecting vampires wish to be.

RSoup: *nods agreeably* If you've written about that pairing, would you do that pairing again? Or will you do a different pairing for your next fic?
Wonder: I’ve done three fics with that pairing so far – the first was ‘Red Sun,’ which is complete, but I’ve taken a break from its sequel, ‘Evening Sun,’ and a different, AU story, ‘The King and His Queen’. I do like Aro/Bella, a lot, but I think it would be best to finish off my remaining stories before starting another. But once that’s done, I don’t see any reason why not to write another (;

RSoup: Is there a pairing you’d like to see, yet is barely done or completely non-existent?
Wonder: I’m quite into some crossovers right now, since there are some pretty rare but awesome pairings in them – however, I’m probably so into them because there aren’t many of the odd pairings I’d like to see within Twilight. I do love a bit of Garrett/Bella every now and then, and there are a couple of reasonably well done fics but nothing I think is too spectacular – I’d love to see more of that sandy-haired vamp kissin’ on innocent Bella.

RSoup: Do you do anything special when you’re writing? Like listen to music or go to a particular place? Or do you have to have the TV off and have nothing distracting you?
Wonder: I always listen to ‘I’m Gay!’ by Bowling For Soup beforehand – it just puts me in the perfect mood for writing; I don’t know why. But otherwise the atmos is pretty much how I find it when the mood for writing strikes me – I’ve written in gale-force winds before (;

RSoup: Do you have a favorite POV to write in?
Wonder: Even though it usually feels easier to write in Bella’s POV, I don’t enjoy it too much – maybe’s it’s because I’m a girl, but I love seeing inside the hero’s head. I like writing how he ticks – I like imagining how he sees the heroine. I really enjoy writing Peter’s POV though – that’s probably my favourite. He’s just a fun S.O.B.

RSoup: *laughs* I enjoy writing in the hero’s POV, too. So what inspired you to write a fan fic?
Wonder: I’ve always loved writing, and I just remember reading some fics and thinking, ‘I can do that.’ And so, I did. My inspiration was pretty much my incredible desire to see something I’d written up for other people to see – I’m not very secretive with my writing, but I don’t go waving it around everywhere. I decided it was time to do a bit of waving.

RSoup: I love your fics Crimson Starlight and Broken Moonlight, but I haven't gotten the chance to read any of your other fics. Tell us a little bit about your other stories.
Wonder: Well… ‘Red Sun’ was my first Twilight fic, my first attempt at it at all really. It’s an Aro/Bella story about Aro coming back for Bella after Edward leaves her once again. There’s a few things I’d love to change about it, refine it and whatnot, but I’m loving leaving it as it is because I think it just shows that I’ve come a way from it.

Then there’s ‘Evening Sun,’ which is a sequel to ‘Red Sun.’ It’s incomplete and I haven’t updated it for ages, but I’m happy with what’s in it so far and I know I’ll be up and rock ‘n’ rollin’ with it again soon enough.

‘The King and His Queen’ is incomplete too, and I need to get going with that again, but it’s an Aro/Bella story where they were already a very old, mated vampire couple. Aro loses Bella during the Volturi’s infamous war against the Romanians and then finds hope years later... Not spoiling a thing (;

‘101 Tales of Love, Lust and Desire’ was a voted-for series of one-shots – I posted a poll asking what my readers would prefer, a series of one-shots with Bella and another Twilight character. I think I had Carlisle, Jasper, Felix, Demetri, Alec and Caius as the options – Jasper won by like three votes more than Carlisle. So far the series has seen prejudiced rockers, a married couple spicing up their love-life, drunken seductions, office sexy-time, best friends becoming more, an after-feed roll about, some lovin’ along to Aerosmith, and some bar-misuse.

‘The Charmer and the Lost Girl’ is an O/S that would not leave me alone until I had written it – it’s a Demetri/Bella pairing, and it’s basically about Bella becoming a vampire because of Jacob rather than Edward and how it leads her to finding an angst-filled relationship with a certain member of the Volturi Guard, whom she wouldn’t give up for a moment.

‘I’ll Show You Madness’ is a crossover – it’s Batman/Twilight, with a pairing of Joker/Bella. Bella’s moved to Gotham with the Cullens and her husband Edward, but there she meets a man who can satisfy her animalistic side and who turns her just a little but crazy. I bloody love writing this fic – I’m sad about finishing it soon ):

‘The Subtle Grace of Gravity’ is a fic that just came to me with a Peter/Bella pairing – it’s not the darkest thing I could have written, but it’s a little more graphic and bit sharper than I usually write. Basically, Bella’s been tortured by Victoria and left out for the birds to peck away at…when Fate swoops in and gets someone to rescue her.

Finally, ‘The Runner’ is my O/S entry for TSSoV contest, and is a Santiago/OC pairing with some blood, lust, pain, love and head-from-shoulders tearing.

RSoup: *smacks forehead* How could I forget reading The Subtle Grace of Gravity? I love that fic as well. There’s not a lot of good Peter and Bella fics, and well TSGoG is… *whistles* …fuck awesome. *laughs* So why’d you write a Batman/Twilight fic? I think it’s great! But I think that’s the first, and only, crossover category I’ll ever see.
Wonder: Well, from what I remember, I was watching 'Batman Returns' - the one with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, who is freaking awesome by the way – and I was just thinking how absolutely shite the weather always was there. And then it just hit me, 'That's the kind of place the Cullens would live - the sun never shines there.' And then I fell in love with Jack Nicholson – and then Heath Ledger – as the Joker all over again, and I thought, 'There's a story in this somewhere.' I always wanted Bella to be a little more kick-ass, to be a little bit crazier and just...generally more vampire-like – I remember thinking that only the Joker could transform innocent little Bella into some kind of beautiful monster. I posted it because, really, I just like the relationship I wrote between them – it made me smile (;

RSoup: Many authors write what they know, do any of your characters resemble yourself, or remind you of a specific time in your life?
Wonder: A lot of people have PM’d me to ask if a few characters from my fics are based on me – since in a couple of my fics I’ve added brand new characters into the Twilight world and that apparently intrigued some people – but the truth is that I find it pretty difficult to base anything much on myself. I can say how I look and my likes/dislikes, maybe even add in a few of my quirks, but there is no way I can know what makes me tick – it’s impossible for me to figure myself out. Seriously. But sometimes I will occasionally add in something that’s up with me at that moment, like Bella eating scrambled eggs on toast – I went through a long phase of eating nothing else but that in the morning for breakfast, so that found its way into my fics a couple of times.

RSoup: *chuckles* Sometimes, as authors, when we’re finished writing a fic, we look back and wish we did something different. How do you feel about the way your fics turned out?
Wonder: I honestly love the stuff I’ve written – there’s hardly anything I’d want to change because at the time I was really into what I was writing, even if I think it’s dubious now. Sometimes I look back and I think I’ve steam-rollered my way through a fic, going way too fast and not adding enough of the juicy stuff I wanted to, but that’s just my process – I feel like I’m getting better all the time.

RSoup: Yeah, I think writing is kind of learned, you know? The more you write, the easier it gets – kinda. *laughs* Are you currently working on anything?
Wonder: Apart from the fics I’ve already started, I’m currently working on a Bella/Carlisle O/S, based on the idea that Renesmee’s birth didn’t go ahead…exactly…and a prequel to ‘The King and His Queen.’

RSoup: Do you have any ideas for a future fic that you’re willing to share? *Leans forward, and waits eagerly and attentively*
Wonder: I am officially willing to step outside of my pretty little Bella-paired-with-a-different-vamp-than-Edward world and find myself a new heroine – the thing about Bella is, she’s malleable, she’s in the perfect place to go anywhere and do anything because she’s not a vampire or a wolf, yet she’s stuck in their worlds. And because she hasn’t changed. Vampires are pretty much frozen, so there’s less to work with, but humans can be fixed and perfected and moulded to my liking before being changed…so I know it’s going to be difficult for me to take my female vamp and mess her about without fucking everything up beyond belief, but I’ve already decided that’s what I want to do. My idea for this new fic revolves around this lady vamp – who shall not be mentioned (; – and thirty-two different cities. It’s going to be lemony, action-packed, and will hopefully contain a few good cracks.

RSoup: Which vampire series have you read and think is the best?
Wonder: ‘The Southern Vampire Mysteries.’ Hands down. CH just took an almost-ordinary girl and let havoc fucking dance all around her in her life. I love the way that vamps have ‘come out of the coffin,’ and all the politics involved – I love the vampire lore, the legends, the characters, the speak…and it’s all set in the South! I love the South.

RSoup: Have you ever been to the U.S.?
Wonder: Nope. Never. I'm a proper little English girl with a terribly English and very Surrey (I can't say accent because my mother would shoot me - apparently English people, especially ones from Surrey, don't have one. We speak in the original way, which means everyone else has an accent apart from us. Isn't that terribly conceited? Well, that's my homeland for you) way of speaking ((;) and I've been around the entirety of the UK and to Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, but never America. Damn. I will go to Louisiana one day though - it's on my 'To-Do' list.

RSoup: Inspiring Authors? Both published marketed ones and in the FanFic world.
Wonder: Although it may sound a bit typical, I actually think that if there’s a point where you pause and get stuck in your own writing you need to read a Harry Potter book – maybe even the entire series. JKR…there’s something about her writing, her words, that just make me want to lick her mind – she’s brilliant, ingenious, and I love HP so much that reading a bit of it cheers me up and helps me think of a way around the ten-ton, granite block I’m metaphorically staring at. Also, I love some good ol’ Shakey. I’m often saying, ‘Pass me the ‘Hamlet,’ dear, I need a bit of inspiration.’

RSoup: Do you read extra citrusy fics?
Wonder: Hell. Yes. I’ve sometimes trawled FF just looking for a fic that’s an entire lemon. I’ve found a few. Yum, and I’m not ashamed.

RSoup: *throws her head back and laughs* How do feel about fics with BDSM?
Wonder: I’ve read a few and I’m actually pretty fond of them – beyond personal preferences, I think that some of the darkness that BDSM offers means you can make an AH fic a little more vampy with it.

RSoup: Could you write a story with BDSM?
Wonder: I’ve thought about it before and I’m just not sure if I could do it justice – I’ve had a crack at it in my ‘101…’ O/S series but I haven’t posted that chapter yet. Maybe if I get some good feedback from that O/S I’ll think about it more seriously.

RSoup: Let’s finish off with your favorite sex position. *Grins* Can be in FanFiction or in real life, maybe even both.

Sorry! I know, I know. I was supposed to post an interview yesterday, but I've been swamped.

Anyway, I interviewed Crazy Chick 74, author of The Bond of Brotherhood.

You know how most AU fics have Edwice bad guys? Well, this definitely doesn't. What's so unique about this fic? It takes place in Twilight, immediately after Phoenix.

And I love that Crazy Chick 74 put a whole new twist on how Jasper and Bella end up together. I'm not telling you exactly how, you should read it to find out, but I think it's hard to find a J/B fic that stands out from the rest.

So meet the author, Rebecca...

RSOUP: All right, first, can I ask how old you are? I know you’re not supposed to ask a woman that, but I think that only applies to men askin', and well, I’m definitely not a man. *cheeses and raises a brow*

CrazyChick: I’m over thirty… *smiles*. So I’m more than old enough to write a mature-rated story… to be honest I’m not sure I could write anything less than that. I’ve tried… and it always ends up smutty. I don’t know if that says something about me as a person but there you go.

RSOUP: *laughs* How did you find out about Twilight FanFiction?

CrazyChick: I’ve read FanFiction for years… and I’ve changed from one category and genre to another – depending on what I’m into at that time. Usually it’s based around if it’s a TV show I like/become obsessed with. I got into Twilight probably quite late in comparison to most people, it wasn’t until I saw the film on cable that I saw the appeal, having always thought it was aimed at kids and a little over-hyped. Then I read the books and fell in love with them. This was probably only about a year ago and once I’d read them all (twice), and after a lull in the fan fic I was currently reading (I can’t remember what it was at the moment), I looked to see if there was any Twilight stuff and low and behold I found some and starting reading.

RSOUP: *nods* Same here! So what inspired you to write a fan fic in the first place?

CrazyChick: My first fan fic was for Battlestar Galactica (the latest TV version – not the original series). I’d read a lot of stories and watched all the episodes and an idea for a story came to me. So I sat down and started writing. I can’t say I found it an easy process. I’d joined an online group that shared BSG stories among it and the thought was always there to share my story within it but I seriously lacked the confidence to post it. Let’s just that I wasn’t very creative when it came to writing in my English language classes at school so writing a story for others to critique was… well overwhelming would be an understatement. My first story had four chapters and it took me ages to write it. I didn’t know how to get someone to beta the story and it had no sex scenes in it – no way was I going to open myself up to that whole scenario in my first effort. *blushes* Anyway, after much procrastinating I eventually plucked up the courage to start posting the story after the second chapter was written and I then held my breath to see if anyone gave me reviewed. I got some feedback and it was mostly positive… of course I then got writers block and took ages to write the third chapter but the last chapter followed fairly soon after. About a year later I posted the same story (albeit, spelling mistakes removed and much better editing so it was easier to read) on the FF.net website and the rest, as they say is history. To be honest I write the stories for myself. I enjoy the experience of writing it (which at times can be very lengthy and laborious) but I do love it when I find that people enjoy something I’ve written.

RSOUP: Where did you get the idea for The Bond of Brotherhood?

CrazyChick: I should start by saying that The Bond of Brotherhood was the second Twilight story I started writing but I got caught up in it and it just blossomed from there. When I began the process I kind of had a vague idea formed but a lot of the story evolved as I wrote it. Many of the twists that the story takes were very late additions. The initial premise of the story was inspired by a film I saw on one of the movie channels on my cable TV (I think it was called Loving Leah) but basically was about a Jewish man who had to marry his brother’s widow (I can’t remember the exact reason why but the film was good). That stuck with me and I knew I could work it into something for Twilight as I really didn’t want to do a story where Jasper and Bella cheated on their partners… because I’m not sure it’s really in either of their characters. So once I got that basic principle I obviously needed to add some sort of drama to the storyline and work out how to weave it into the timeline I’d chose (post-Phoenix). Then I remembered how in Buffy Spike was set three challenges in order to prove he was worthy of having a soul or something like that anyway and there you have it.

It made me laugh when reviewers were asking me to reveal what the third task was early in the story (as I’d revealed the first two in chapter 8). The main reason I didn’t reveal it then was because I had no idea what it was going to be… I tried many different things but nothing really seemed to be that “difficult” for them… and then when writing the second task (which ended up being chapter 30), the idea came to me and then it seemed a good idea to let everyone know what it was at the very last minute. I do like to build the angst into a story and a cliffhanger is always a good thing… it keeps people reading.

RSOUP: *laughing harder* I was wondering the whole time what the third task was! I think we all do that though – some things just come to you as you write. Are they, Bella and Jasper, your favorite non-canon pairing?

CrazyChick: Absolutely. Jasper is my favorite character and while I initially read Bella and Edward fan fic when I first discovered it, there’s so much out there, it’s difficult to come up with something that hasn’t already been done. Also while the actual books of Twilight give you snippets of information about Jasper’s life, there’s so much more to explore and that is what I find interesting about him. I also think Bella and Jasper are better suited to one another than the canon pairing.

RSOUP: Will you do that pairing again? Or will you do a different pairing for your next fic?

CrazyChick: I can’t see myself writing any Twilight story that doesn’t involve Jasper as a main character. I have to really love a character to be able to write and have them as the central element of my story. For example, while I love Alice in the books, I just can’t write her and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to capture Edward’s ‘perfection’ in quite the same way that Stephanie does, so that was the main reason that I killed them off right at the beginning of Brotherhood. Because then – problem solved. Edward is the reason I got stuck with my first Twilight story but I think I might have worked through that issue now. I do love Bella as well, although I think I write her as a stronger person than in the books and I think she would bring more out of Jasper than Alice does.

RSOUP: *nods* Sometimes, as authors, when we’re finished writing a fic, we look back and wish we did something different. How do you feel about the way The Bond of Brotherhood turned out?

CrazyChick: I love the way my story turned out. Does that make me sound vain? *RSoup starts shaking her head* I hope it doesn’t because I don’t mean it that way. The reason I say it is because of the way I write the story. I can’t write and post a story at the same time; it’s too much pressure to make sure I’ve written something and there would be big gaps between posting as I’m prone to writer’s block *often leading to knocking head against desk – hoping for inspiration*. Doing it this way also gives me the flexibility to go back to the beginning and add something else in. Therefore The Bond of Brotherhood had been edited many times before I posted it and while there is the odd spelling mistake, I think the storyline works as a whole. I can say that I’ve probably read each chapter at least eight times. In fact when I write the story there are no chapters; it’s just one long piece of prose and my first edit will put the chapter breaks in, ensuring the chapters are fairly even in length and the story flows. Believe me, if I hadn’t liked how the story turned out – I wouldn’t have posted it in the first place.

RSOUP: Ah! That makes sense. Are you currently working on anything?

CrazyChick: I’m working on two Twilight stories. My first one which is currently about 160 pages and a new one I started a few days ago (currently 23 pages). I also have ideas for about five more (Twilight) stories… so I should be going for quite a while yet. I also have several started BSG stories including one which was 180 pages until I lost all but the first 30-odd pages. That was a galling experience. I will finish those one day, even if it’s just for me.

RSOUP: Do you have any ideas for a future fic that you’re willing to share?

CrazyChick: *thinks for several minutes…* Do I want to share…? Mmm… *many more minutes pass in contemplation* Okay, I can give you a hint about the two stories I’m currently writing but I don’t want to give too many details. My first story is basically a ‘what if it was Jasper (and not Edward) that Bella got involved with’. It’s going to have two endings and once I start posting the story it will then be down the readers to choose which one I use… - the main reason for this being I can’t decide. That being said I’ll probably post the alternative ending anyway. My latest story is an all-human story called The History of the Cullens (current working title…). I actually intend to do another story with the same title (but not all-human and a different storyline) but that’s just an idea in a word document currently. I get inspired for stories all the time, from a song, a passing thought, you name it. I have a file that I make a note of it in and then try to expand on the story until inspiration (or just plain excitement) strikes and I get writing. I usually have more than one story on the go, in case of ‘slack time’ when I get stuck on something.

RSOUP: Is there a non-canon pairing you’d like to see and is barely done?

CrazyChick: I love the Jasper/Esme pairing and no, I don’t mean in a romantic way because that would just be wrong; in my head she will only ever be his ‘mum’. I do think they have a great dynamic and I’m trying to develop that within my stories. There’s very little of the two of them written and I’d like to see more of it.

RSOUP: *Grins* Do you consider the Jacob and Bella pairing Non-Canon or Canon?

CrazyChick: I could be about to piss off many people here but I just consider it WRONG – so I try not to consider it. *ducks under desk quickly* * RSoup laughs* I know that Edward is to a certain extent a flawed character and not quite as perfect as he first seems (controlling , stubborn and secretive) but I think his flaws pale into insignificance to Jacob’s. At least Edward, generally, has Bella’s best interests at heart whereas Jacob just seems to want to take her away from Edward. I doubt Jacob will ever appear in any of my stories, because I just don’t like him. I do have to say that the film version of the character is slightly better that the written version of him but it’s marginal. I’m definitely in the Team Edward camp with a leaning towards Team Jasper if that had been on the table. I apologize if you like Jacob but I just don’t, however if everyone liked the same things the world would be a very boring place so whatever floats your boat.

RSOUP: Do you do anything special while you’re writing? Like listen to music or go to a particular place?

CrazyChick: I don’t think I do anything that special. I try and set myself a goal of writing five pages a week and most times I more than accomplish that target and then I’ll have a really bad week and write nothing at all. As I mentioned earlier I have to write the whole story before I post it. I did once start a story the other way and then got writer’s block and a bit of non-constructive criticism and I didn’t write anything on the story for about six months, and didn’t post again for over a year (once I’d completed it). Obviously that’s not the way to keep readers of your story so I don’t do that anymore. I also don’t necessarily write the story in chronological order. For example in Bond of Brotherhood, chapter 17 was the penultimate chapter that I wrote followed by the epilogue (chapter 44).

I don’t use a Beta either. I’ve tried that twice and neither really worked out. The first couldn’t commit to the whole story (which I completely understood, we all have real lives and I’ll always be grateful to her because she helped me write my first sex scene (a painful experience for all involved) and gave me some really useful pointers). My second Beta basically savaged my writing style and I felt physically sick after reading her feedback – which given she refused to read two thirds of the chapter (because of the subject matter, even though I’d said what the chapter would cover before I sent it), I just found that attempt very demoralizing and not very helpful. After that I decided I’d go it alone. It’s one of the reasons I value the feedback I get from readers and yes, I suppose some people could say I’m a feedback whore, but the comments I get and any questions that are raised help me spot weak points in the story which I can still correct – where possible. I did once get a review for a BSG story that inspired me to write a one-shot story that was over 8000 words, in one sitting, with no breaks.

The hardest part of my writing is trying to ensure its American-ified (yes, I’ve made that word up). Being from the UK, I can cope with the spelling, to an extent, but it’s the different words that are used which we just don’t use here e.g. faucet in the US is just a tap in the UK. I hope I pick them all up but forgive me if I get it wrong sometimes.

RSOUP: Which vampire series have you read and think is the best?

CrazyChick: I’ve only ever read Twilight that’s vampire based. It’s not so much the genre that I love but the characters themselves that got me hooked.

RSOUP: Inspiring Authors? Both published, marketed ones and in the FanFic world.

CrazyChick: I must admit that I’m a bit of a chick-lit story kinda girl. My favorite author in the published, bookstore arena is Katie Fforde. Her stories all follow the same pattern, girl makes a big change/decision in her life, meets a guy she hates, falls in love with said guy and they all live happily ever after. Although the stories are basically the same formula, they don’t really feel like they are, she makes you fall in love with the characters so you want things to work out for them. See, I’m back to the characters again… am I boring you yet? *smiles* *RSoup laughs and shakes her head* I love Harry Potter as well and John Grisham is a must.

RSOUP: Favorite, must-read Fan Fics?

CrazyChick: There was a story I read just last week that had me hooked from the first chapter, so much so that I stayed up till 1am to finish reading it on a work night. It’s called Tripod by vampirelover44 and is an all-human story which is Jasper centric *surprise surprise*. I won’t give away the concept of the story away but I will say its one hell of a tissue-fest. I’m sure I probably don’t have to say why I loved the story (see many of the answers I’ve given above). A Jasper/Bella story I love is called Underexposed by daisy3853 which is another all-human story and is about Bella and Jasper meeting in a photography classroom. Also Running by Merina Green and is about things going wrong in Volterra and Jasper searching for Bella. There are many others but those are ones I remember. My one bug-bear when it comes to fan fic is people who don’t finish stories. Invariably you just end up disappointing your readers.

RSOUP: Do you read extra lemony fics?

CrazyChick: I generally only ever read M-rated stories and as I generally write stories with a high vitamin C content in them, it would be churlish of me to not read them. I can say it gets easier to write them the more you do it. However I’ve always written my stories in third-person because I’ve found it mildly uncomfortable to write a sex scene in first-person, especially from a male point of view. That being said, The History of the Cullens will be my first attempt at writing in first person. I’ve found it takes much more editing though because I keep slipping back into third person accidentally.

RSOUP: *shifts her seat* How do feel about fics with BDSM?

CrazyChick: I’ve read them. I wouldn’t say it would be my story of choice but with the right storyline it can work. As long as it’s not in there just for the sake of it or for shock value. I’ve been reading a really good Jasper/Bella one actually called The Deepest Sorrow is The Greatest High by siobhan2006 where Bella is Jasper’s student and she falls in love with him and vice versa. It’s dark, twisted and includes BDSM but it just works.

RSOUP: Could you write a story with BDSM?

CrazyChick: I would never say never. If I thought the story called for it, I would definitely write it. I’ve written a story with a rape scene in it and there were some elements to that story which might be a watered down version of BDSM I guess, but there would have to be a good reason for including it… and it would take some research on my part (internet-based rather than actual experience).

RSOUP: Let’s get off, *Grins and chuckles* I mean, finish off with your favorite sex position.

CrazyChick: Umm, well most of my stories usually contain it… up against a wall I guess would be my favorite, but you’d need one hell of a partner (or a vampire where strength isn’t an issue) for it to be good. There’s nothing wrong with the missionary position either, there’s just something about having the guy on top of you, pressing you into the mattress… and I’m going to stop now before I go any further or this will be unprintable!

What I bring to the table for you today is what I am sure is going to be an awe-inspiring collab of two excellent authors. And I mean, come on; it's Carlisle and Bella!

It's not cheesy, as often Rare-Pairs tend to be. I hate reading a fic where it's just a little to far fetched, or AU that you get a little lost. It's realistic in the fact that Carlisle is still Carlisle, and Bella is still Bella, but each with a few years tacked on and the wisdom that comes with age.

We get down to the knitty-gritty of the story almost instantly, a fact for which I am grateful. There is no pussy-footing around; these authors tell it like it is and expect you to believe it. There is nothing that bores me more then excessive back-story. A little goes a long way, people, with the exception of the occasional squiggly-line flashback. I am totally excited to see where my girls will take this fic.

She greeted me flatly, pale and shaky.
"Carlisle. I don't know about you, but I could use a fucking drink."
She spun on her heel and headed deeper into her apartment. I followed, a bit uncertain whether I was actually invited or not. I found her in the kitchen with a bottle of wine. She cursed softly as the mouth of the bottle clattered against her wine glass. She quickly gulped down half the glass and topped it off again. She clutched the refilled glass as if it would ward off evil. A bright, but completely false, smile graced her lips.
"So, San Francisco? The apartment's a little small don't you think? I mean, Mooshie and I love it. Mooshie's my cat." She paused here for a breath before launching back into her nervous babbling. "You don't eat pet cats, right? No, of course you don't...I know that! Shit, I'm babbling!"
She blushed bright red and took another large gulp of red wine. Her hands were trembling so badly that I feared for her spotless white carpeting. I reached out and plucked the almost empty glass from her shaking hands, smiling sadly, my loneliness and despair evident.
"I do not eat pets, Isabella. As for the size of the apartment, I find it perfectly adequate. I am alone now."

1. What brought you to the wonderful world of Fandom? Did you start with Twilight, or was there a little something-something before Edward met Bella?

Twilight. I have had a fascination with vampires for as long as I can remember. My husband and I brought the kids to a water park one November and we were each looking for reading material to pass the time while the kids played in the water tubes. I saw this book about a vampire in love with a human. I had not heard a word about it before that moment. Can you say life altering moment in Walmart? Read Twilight that night and discovered there was more. I read the next three in the next few days and then read them all again. And again. And again. Until I saw New Moon on new co-workers desk. She turned me on to FanFic and in addition to being an amazing author, has become a friend.

2. In your opinion, what makes for the ultimate Rosalie? We know she's beautiful, drop un-dead gorgeous, but what brains hide behind that beauty? Do you go for the cold and callous, bitchy and beautiful, or passionate and jaded? If Niki Reed didn't play Rosalie, who do you think could have?

I think that Rosalie is quite intelligent, but in her time , learned as a young human that women kept their mouths shut and made for good wives. I think Rosalie is somewhat jaded by the events of her past, at the very least she has major trust issues. It takes a lot for her to let anyone in and when she does she is loyal to the death. In my fic she gives off a cavalier, no body gets to me attitude.

You know I never saw Niki as Rosalie. I think Niki is so much more beautiful as a brunette and the wigs and die jobs made her look ridiculous. But when you ask me what actress would make a better Rosalie, I just don’t know. I am partial to Molly Sims and Tara Reid at the moment.*wink*

3. So you're fic, Fire and Ice is a Garret and Bella, pretty much a rare pair if there ever was one. What inspired you to write Rosalie with Garret? What, in your opinion, makes them work.

It was done for a contest entry for B characters. I have a major thing for Garrett. He is your quintessential bad boy, never settling down, rogue nomad filled with fire and passion. Rosalie as the ice queen just balanced that perfectly. I liked the idea of his heat melting her, chipping away at the trust issues, and the idea of intense physical attraction leading to an emotional bond, that at the same time melts her frosty façade and tames his wild ways.

4. If you could name your favorite Rosalie's in the fandom, from what story and by who?

First Love Lost and Last Love Found features Rosalie in a supporting but fairly major role as Jasper’s cousin. I used Rose as a pretty central character in Only At Night as Lead, Bella’s friend. Honestly I stretch to think of another story that features Rose.

5. What are you currently reading? In the fandom or out, take the time to give your favorites a shout out!

There is something outside the fandom??? Haven’t touched anything outside the fandom in a really long time. I like a variety of stories from slash to Edward Bella, but I typically read Jasper Bella. I love a good Carlisle too.

So it's Rosalie week, which kind of put me in a pickle. I wanted to find something good, but I don't often read fics that center around her. I was surprised when I did a little digging and found some pretty awesome fics! The first rec was actually sent to me on twitter (Thanks Gem!) and I took the time to read it. I was pleasantly surprised.

It's AH, Emmett and Rosalie. He's a bartender, she's a patron with eyes for him. But it's sweet...the whole thing is sweet. It's a nice treat to get to see Rosalie in such a light. Not just the 'bitch' from Twilight.

Undisclosed Desires by BBSapphire24

It's not only sweet and well written, but it's pretty steamy as well. For a first fic, the author did a great job. Here's a little tiny taste:

I unlocked the door and Emmett pushed it open, allowing me to get out of the cold first, despite his lack of clothing. I wanted to take the stairs two, perhaps even three at a time, but was doing my best not to seem too eager for this. Emmett, on the other hand, didn't mind showing how eager he was and insisted we take the elevator.

"You do realize I only live on the second floor."

"Yes, but the elevator will be much more fun," he said as he pulled me into it.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me flush against his body.

"Do you realize how long I've wanted to kiss you? How many times I have thought about those lips of yours?"

He spoke against the skin of my neck as he trailed kisses down it. If he hadn't been holding me up, I would have collapsed in a heap on the floor. To think that he had these thoughts, these feelings for so long, and I had been so oblivious to them.

Nice, right?

Now on to my next selection for the week. I wanted to pick something a little different, a little more serious. I scrolled around for a bit until I clicked on a pairing that struck me as crazy. This next story is Rosalie and Ephriam, and believe it or not, it works. The story is written in a parallel, between present day and the past, and it's very well done.

Here's a little bit:

Ephraim swam towards her, and Rosalie felt the heat build the closer he got, emanating from him through the water.

"You look lovely," he assured her, reaching forward and sweeping her wet hair out of her face with a touch so tender she could scarcely believe it came from the same man.

Then he pushed his hand through the water and splashed her, before swimming away, sniggering.

"That's not fair!" she insisted hotly, swimming after him and splashing him back. He returned the favour, and soon the pair of them were chasing each other, giggling as they did their best to soak each other further.

Eventually, Rosalie leapt onto the cliff face, calling out, "Catch me if you can!"

As she effortlessly pulled herself up the cliff, using barely-there hand and foot holds, she heard Ephraim chase after her, his body heat tangible as he advanced on her, catching her in his arms as they reached the plateau and pinning her to the grass.

"I have got you now," he teased playfully, his hands pressing her arms against the ground, his face inches from hers. "You shall not escape my clutches!"

This story is really nicely written, and poses an interesting scenerio.

If you’re not keen on this pairing, you definitely aren’t alone. After reading the Twilight saga, there were very few people who came out the other end saying, “Man, I really like that hot bitch Rosalie!” I’ll admit, I was a hater. She just seemed so unnecessary to the story, someone who took up good Bella and Edward smooching time.

The first time I came across a Roseward story, I think I ran the other way. It was so wrong. I mean, he’s so perfect, and she’s so . . . perfect, but . . .

oh.

And therein lies the appeal for a lot of people. They are made for each other—two beautiful, broody souls who are overprotective of the people they love. Rosalie is strong, confident, outspoken, the antithesis of the meek, plain Bella. And much more worthy of the perfection that is Edward Cullen, yes?

Okay, so maybe that doesn’t motivate you to run out and start reading Roseward. Perhaps I can tempt you with another alluring aspect of this pairing—the very one that drew me in. It’s canon.

Think about it . . . Carlisle changed Rosalie so Edward would have someone for himself. Sure, Edward claims she was too shallow for his telepathic self, but I know of a part of the male body—particularly a seventeen year old’s body—that’s also pretty shallow.

There are a number of fics out there that explore the canon relationship between Rosalie and Edward. A wonderful AU is Breaking Points by sugarbucket. The story is so emotionally written and has scenes I can recall with perfect clarity (and dreamy sighs). It begins with Rosalie’s transition and has so far taken us through to New Moon. It’s wonderfully angsty, full of lust and hatred and torturous restraint. Rosalie and Edward share a dark love, the result of his abilities and the circumstances of her death. Their love for their canon partners is not diminished, just different, and not nearly as powerful.

If you’d prefer to read a more canon version of Rosalie and Edward’s time together, then I recommend locqua’s Betrothed. We’re still pre-Emmett with that one, and I’m not certain how far it will go. For a brief snapshot into something that could have happened, have a look at In Return, by gallantcorkscrews. It’s a gritty, dark AU one-shot that is an exceptionally good read.

And now onto the AH . . . Alas, the most popular Roseward has gone to fic heaven[i], but there are many more taking its place. LightHeartLoreli (a collaboration between LightStarDusting, The HeartofLifeIsGood, and LoreliD) have written I’ll Be Seeing You – A 40s style drama with Private Detective Edward Cullen and the lovely cosmetics heiress, Rosalie. This story also has a sequel called My Girl Friday. Both are complete!

The Elite by Fate.of.Gabriel, while not strictly a Roseward story, has its fair share, and it is one of the best non-canon pairing stories out there. If you’re reading this blog, you should be reading it ;)

For AH one-shots . . . Can’t Break Free by jadedandboring, and Wake Me Up When September Ends by LuckyStar815 spring to mind. There are plenty more out there though.

So go forth, read the hotness that is Rosalie and Edward together. There is never a shortage of lust and angst, two of the best lures for me, and with any luck, you’ll be inspired to write your own.

She jarred to a halt, turning to face me, and I was blown away again by her beauty. He watches her disappear behind the glass doors and his vision becomes blurred from the tears he doesn't bother to hold back anymore. He stands there, rooted to the spot in the center of the Departures lounge, until someone comes and puts a hand on his shoulder.

After she calms down, we’re both tired, even though she has only been awake long enough to talk and eat. We both crawl back into bed, and for the first time she lays on my chest before she falls asleep. Usually she does it unconsciously during a bad dream, I assume looking for safety. The courage it takes for her to do this while still awake doesn’t go unnoticed by me.

“Thank you for listening,” she says softly. I don’t answer but take a chance and lean forward planting a soft kiss on the top of her head. I expect her to stiffen or even to move off of me but she doesn’t. Instead she lets out a sigh of relief and kisses my chest through my shirt."

Hey guys, so MBL here, and well, I think this is the first ever Slash Rec post on this blog!

So, I hardly know anything about Slash, so I asked a friend of mine; AlsoFrightened6 about slash.

1) How did you get into Slash fics?

I didn't really read slash before my friend got me into it. I had no idea she was a writer and I was over at her house one time when she was sick and she had one of her chapters open. When I questioned her about it she told me all about FFn and I signed up for an account and started reading. =)

2) What is it different from Slash to Non-slash fics, other than the same sex sex? :P

If I am being honest - I havn't read anything that is non-slash. Two guys getting it on is hot - I have yet to pull myself away and read somethin else =)

3) What about the Saga interests you? I've always wanted to know this from a guy's perspective.

*chuckles* uhm - if I am being honest I am not a majorly big fan of the saga. I love Eclipse, it is my favourite because it think it is the more well written that the others and it has a bit more action, saying that I also love the end of Breaking Dawn - I guess I am more into the fighting and action than the lovey dovey stalker stuff. However, I do love the characters, I just think the books could have been written better. I think Stephenie Meyer has a really great imagination when thinking up characters and what they are like, I just think she doesn't use them to their full potential. Thats why I prefer Twi FFn - some of the stories some people come up with using the characters are absolutely phenomenal.

4) Do you have any slash recs?

My slash recs have to be: A Tangible Dichotomy by PerfectlyPersuasive, A Kiss Before I say Goodbye by rmhale, The Dressing Room by rmhale, The Bronze Prince by twiboy and I have just started reading Sketchbook Revelations by PolkaDotMama and I am really liking it so far. Outside FFn I have to recommend J.P Barnaby and Chris Owen. I have to say it - their books are hot =D

5) What's your favourite Jasper fic? Slash or non, I'm just curious.

My favourite Jasper fic so far, again has to be in The Dressing Room by rmhale. He is just all sorts of dominating and sexy in that story *chuckles*

6) What advice would you give someone who wanted to write their first slash fic?

Hmm - I suppose just write what feels right? And don't be scared to ask people for help. I went to a few people and asked if it sounded okay or if it was too much or too little and everyone I asked was really great and helped me out a lot. Maybe get a pre-reader? Just someone you trust to read through it first and give you their honest opinion before posting it. Lastly I would say don't be scared about posting it either. There are people out there that post some nasty stuff on some peoples stories, but in my opinion they are just pathetic. The people that matter are the people who say it's good, support you and give you constructive criticim. So just ignore them and keep writing, don't let them stop you.

1. First things first, what brought you to the fantastic fandom that is Twilight? Was it love at first read? Or did you initially hate the story, and found, like many, that Bella really belonged with Jasper?

Good question! *cue rant* My daughter came home from school one day asking if she could read these books because EVERYONE else was *rolls eyes*. She's only 10, so I decided to pre-read them and see if they were age-appropriate. By the time I finished with the last book, I was seething over Edward's controlling ways.

I started bitching to one of my friends about how I loved the universe SM created, but I couldn't stand her portrayal of Edward and Bella's relationship. Seriously, he took her carburetor out to keep her from visiting her friend! That is NOT a healthy relationship. Love isn't easy, it takes two people that see each other as equals to work, and this relationship had NONE of that. Edward needs to take his Victorian-era sensibilities and stuff them up his....Well, you get the idea!

Anyway, my friend laughed at me and told me to go read some fanfiction with non-canon couples, and I was instantly addicted!

2. In your opinion, what makes for a perfect Jasper? Strong and silent? Southern Charm? Dark and broody? What makes that sexy boy sexier?

The perfect Jasper is all of those things and more! The perfect Jasper has conflicting personality traits in my opinion.

-He is sensitive and caring when he needs to be, but is completely able to kick someone's ass into gear when the situation calls for it.

-He doesn't like conflict, but will go all Major on someone's ass if it is necessary.

-He is honest and expects honesty in return.

-He knows he isn't perfect, and doesn't expect perfection from anyone else, but will apologize or expect apologies if warranted.

-He isn't a momma's boy, but he respects his mother and takes her life lesson's to heart.

-He is protective of those he loves, without smothering them. He lets them make their own mistakes, then helps them clean up the mess later.

3. Who are your top favorite Jaspers in the fandom and why?(Jaspers in specific stories for example Catonspeed's Jasper in The Last Mile because.....)

Oh, there are so many!

I LOVE IdreamofEddy's Jasper. *bows down to worship IdreamofEddy* She was the first to really bring his character to life (in my opinion), so I will always have a soft spot for "Colliding Meteors".

Merina Green has done an AWESOME job with her Jasper in "Running". Her story is so unique, and you get to see a different side of him.

JamesRamsey does an amazing job showing Jasper as a sensitive badass in "Insecurities".

I love Givemesomevamp's Jasper in "The Quiet Room". He is a take charge guy, but is so sensitive to Bella's needs!

Catonspeed's Jasper in "The Last Mile" rocks my socks! As soon as he finds Bella on the side of the road, you really see his protective side come out, and I love it!

I know I've left a bunch out, but that's all I can think of right now!

4. What made you want to write the epic love that is Jasper and Bella? What makes them work?

I loved the idea of two characters that see each other as equals, and are able to compliment each other well. I think these two make it easy to see that love isn't all sunshine and daisies, that you have to truly care about each other to make it work! True love makes you see past a person's imperfections and embrace the positive things about your partner, while helping them grow into a more rounded individual.

What makes them work so well? Neither of them cares for the spotlight, and would rather work behind the scenes. They both feel like the luckiest individual in the world when they receive the love of their partner. Plus, neither needs grand gestures to show their love, they know that it's the little things in life that truly prove they care about each other.

5. What are you reading now? Any suggestions to our dear, fellow Jasper loving readers?

Oh, I definitely have a few favorites right now!

-Of course, givemesomevamp's "The Quiet Room" which is just fucking brilliant!

-"Nowhere Left To Run" by Spirare is an amazing read that always makes me LOL.

-DarkNnerdy's "The Beginning and The End" is brilliant so far!

-"Freedom's Rise" by Michelle Amethyst is a nice spin on the normal Jasper/Bella relationship

-"Worth It" by NightFairy85 is a nail biter right now, and I can't wait to read more!

-"Not All Who Wander Are Lost" by Stitchcat is only two chapters in, but I am already wanting more!

Fic Review

Hey guys, it's Miss-Beckie-Louise here. Apparently Amelie is out of the country, but I'm not 100% sure if this is true or not, it's just something I heard on the grape vine. So I'm going to be writing my first ever blog review on a fic, it's pretty daunting so I hope I do this well and that your enjoy it.

The fic in question is Destiny Awaits by Midnight Seductress

Story summary: After Twilight. When Alice leaves to find her future, Bella makes a her a promise that will change everything.

Now then, this fanfic, may not be complete and neither has it been updated since 2009, but to be perfectly honest with you, I really don't care.

This fanfiction has seen me through my good days and my bad days. It's made me laugh, cry, happy dance, curl into a ball and cry. Purely because of the writing and whatever has happened in my semi-normal life.

It's a Bella and Jasper fic, which co-insides with our theme of the week which is what I think is the most important thing. As well as the characters being wonderfully described and used in this fanfiction, I wonder what comes next.

Just the events that happen in the fic is amazing. It starts off with Bella's birthday in New Moon. Granted, it is the over used starting point in this fandom *hands up* I'm one of them (Volturi Queen, Fighting For Everything We're Worth). But there is something about this fic that makes them stand out from the rest.

Not only does Edward not leave Bella, but it turns into a consoling fanfiction with a human caring for an out-of-control vampire. It's touching in ways that I truly cannot describe. In this fic, I want to hug Jasper so hard, the same with Esme and Emmett too as this fic shows the family growing together, makes them a family and not in the case of the saga where it's one minute they meet, the next they're killing another vampire for Edward's "Mate".

It's touching, and we see an appearance of the Denali's, Victoria, Laurent and Riley. I found this fanfic when I was going through my "Major" days. I go through stages of reading a particular character and tada, Jasper's time and I find this along with so many others that I could list for you and to be honest, I'd be more of them then there is of this post! So just take a look at my favourites page on my fanfiction profile which is: here.

I know this is a completely different review then what you are used to but, as it's me (Miss-Beckie-Louise) and not Amelie I thought it'd be okay.

So, here are the reasons why you should read this:

It's heartwarmingly beautiful
I re-read this so often, I'm surprised that I haven't memorized this.
It's beyond perfect
It was drama, mixed with newly found friendships and loves
It see's the Cullens in a light I have never seen before
Its special
and, well because I said so.

Now if you asked for reasons why you shouldn't read this. I'd say:

You're nuts, there are no reasons why you shouldn't read this. Just give it a try and you will love it!

See not really a reason, but still, there is one down for the sake of it!

Just give this fanfiction a go, it's special, in more ways than one. It's got 2,293 reviews. So people do read this! I know it hasn't been updated since 08-10-09 (I'm guessing that is, 10th August 2009, I'm English and we put the date the other day... day/month/year, and the whole concept of putting the date the wrong way confuses me.)

So, I'm feeling nice and will review another Jasper fic. Just because it's me, and it's 1am and I can't be bothered to go to sleep.

How many of you have heard of Mommybrook? Lovely lady, American (Although, I'm totally not holding that against her :P haha joking), and she is one of the Facebook Jasper's Darlin's... No? Yes?

Well, she's currently writing an awesome fic called Somebody to Love.

Story summary: A Jasper/Bella story. Bella is 25 years old, divorced with two kids. The Cullen's return to her life when she absolutely needs them the most. If you don't like the idea of Jasper as the leading man, this is not the story for you! Language and future lemons

Now this fic, is pretty damn amazing. Not only does Bella have kids and is divorced, but she's with Jasper. I bet you're all like WTF is happening?

Well, I don't want to give this fic away too much, but basically, Jasper's amazing with children. Edward pops in and says hello, and a bit of drama and that is about it. This fic is special, it's definitely different. I mean how many fics do you know of with Bella and Jasper pairing, and Bella has kids and is divorced, and no I'm not asking about "Everything Starts in Texas" although that is also an amazing fanfiction.

It's special, different, and amazing all rolled into one. It's spectacular and you just have to check it out. She doesn't update often, but when she does, there is no doubt in my mind that she loses readers, she gains them, I'm sure. Either that, or I've re-read it so much that her stats have rocketed lately XD.

Check it out. Have lots of giggles and "Awww"'s because this fic is full of them!

I hope you enjoyed reading this review as much as I enjoyed writing this.

*waves to the masses* Hey! I'm the new girl. Some of you know me as Kitty Cullen-03 on fanfiction, kitty_cullen on twitter, or one of the Jasper's Darlins. So it's really only fitting that I get to start during Jasper week, considering he's my main man! I had an incredibly difficult time picking something for you guys today, so I decided to recommend TWO one-shots. I'm going for a sort of sweet/hot theme here, with one of the stories being, well, sweet, and the other being full of hotness.

My first Rec hangs on the sweet side, definitely. But it's also going to be one of the saddest stories you've ever read. When I came across this story, it was by word of mouth. I should have heeded the tissue warning that came along with it, because by the time I was through I sobbed like a little girl. It's beautifully written, and sweet, and so full of HEARTFAIL you will be digging into the Ben and Jerry's by the end. In fact, it is so full of heartfail, it actually won best heartfail moment in the Love of Jasper contest, held last year.

On to the hotness. This was actually a lot harder to pick, considering the vast amount of incredible stories out there. I had to go with one of my more recent favorites. This one-shot is so freaking amazing, it's raked in around 214 reviews. For a one shot. If that doesn't tell you something, then I don't know what else to say.

How about 'Sweet Holy Mother of the Baby Jesus' this is incredible. It has everything-the writer is amazingly talented, the lemon is...incredible, and it's actually got an underlying plot that's worth continuing. (hint, hint.) Mr. Jasper Whitlock lets his dominating tendancies out, and Bella gets to reap the benefit.

It's official - it's my favourite week - Jasper week!

1. Who, and why, is your favorite non-canon couple?

I have so many favourite non-canon couples, it's impossible to pick just one. I love Bella and Carlisle, Bella and Jasper, there are loads more favourites, and I continued to list them, we'd be here all day. But Bella and ?? fics are my favourite, oh and I love your Bella and Alister fic as well, =] it's pretty awesome.

The thing is though, I go through stages of liking a certain pairing, like a month of Bella and Volturi fics, which is actually what inspired me to write Volturi Queen in the first place, it's all down to what I feel like reading and what sort of mood I'm in.

2. What got you into the magical world of Fan-fiction in the first place?

I love this question! I really do, but before I go into fan-fiction, I'll have to say about how I got into Twilight first because without Twilight, I wouldn't have started to read it and then writing.

So I used to live in Coventry, and a I still keep in touch with her after I moved, Sobriquett on fanfiction and twitter. She told me about this "Awesome" vampire story that's going big and the films are being made and that I should totally read them. The same day, I ordered Twilight from amazon.co.uk and when it arrived, I read it within a few days before ordering New Moon and Eclipse the day before I finished reading Twilight. They came and Eclipse became my favourite of the three and then Breaking Dawn came out, and I got it, read it a billion times and loved it, it was my new Eclipse.

Sobriquett and I continued to talk about it and she sent a fanfiction link and I can't remember it to save my life but ever since then I read fanfiction, a few months of reading did I come up with my first fanfic which just happened to be a Bella and Emmett fic, I was reading stuff by duskri123 at the time and she became my beta as I became hers. I've written fanfiction ever since as well as being an avid reader.

3. Since it's Emmet week, why don't you tell us what makes your perfect Emmet. (Is he big, stupid and lovable? Bad-boy hottie? Playful and intelligent? All the things that make Emmet the vamp he is, to you.)

I love Emmett, I love him as the big lovable brother, the sweet caring lover. I hate how Stephanie Meyer made him seem stupid, or not stupid per-say, I mean he is a vampire after all, but when I was reading it, I kind of picture him sitting in the corner with a black hat on with the letter D over it, you know for "dunce"? But reading him in fanfiction, I love how the authors make him seem intelligent and how the rest of the Cullens seem surprised by this.

4.What are you currently reading in the Fandom and in Real Life?

Fandom, wowzers we'll be here all day! At the moment, I'm going through my communities update folder in my inbox, I have over 300 at the moment so I'm going through them all reading the ones that seem interesting as well as my regular updates.

Just this morning I read "Back Across the Pond" by Chels926, Fighting for Love by butterflybetty (she's an amazing author and is probably the only one who can make me cry so I suggest you check out her stuff), as well as Hit by Destiny, Such Great Heights and The University of Edward Mason.

In Real Life, if you asked me that last week I would have laughed in your face and skipped the question because fanfiction really does take up my life. But, I've started to re-read the Icemark Chronicles by Stuart Hill. They're really well written and just amazing, I love them. There are three books in the series so far, The Cry of the Icemark, Blade of Fire and The Last Battle of the Icemark. You should totally check them out, there is even speculation of them being made into a movie.

5. If you had to choose, what would you say were your top three favorite stories in the fandom, and why? (this is where you can totally h00r your fave authors!)

Top three? You are joking right, I mean there is no WAY I could pick three. I love so many of them! If I had to choose three though. I'd say:
