New Staff Member - Author Interviews

Hello there...

I'm Raina, just became a member of the staff, and I will be doing author interviews! =)

The interviews will be posted the first of every month and should start in December.

If you have any authors that you feel should get some attention or would like to see interviewed, please send me an email (me@raindropsoup.com) with the Pen Name, a Story Title, the pairing and what site it can be found. I'll check them and their stories out if I haven't already.

The author/story must be well-written (spelling and grammar) with non-canon pairings. The pairing doesn't matter as long as it is non-canon, e.g. Jacob and Bree. Review count doesn't matter to me and I actually welcome those that are under the radar!

I suggest that you send in your teasers for our Teaser Tuesdays because I do actually look at them!

Holy Fanvid! with Lifelesslyndsey

I am not above abusing my power of the blogging ability to post this fanvid that was TOTALLY MADE FOR ME! Oh yeah. I'm all kinds of happy. If I took a poop right now, I'd shit rainbows and flowers.

I don't know if any of y'all have read Once Bitten, Twice Shy by me, lifelesslyndsey.  It's about Peter, the Fandoms rising golden by, who is not only a vampire, but at once point was an angel. He's kind of bitter, but if you were an angel who got the boot outta heaven you might be too. He falls in love with a crazy lady named Bella who yanks him across America and shows him how to live and look at life. It's a happy, happy, happy, holy shit angst, happy fic.  That...you know. You can read, if you want. I mean....if your into that. It's finished! It has angel-porn! It also has ugly cats, the Cullens, ass-tats and a startling lack of donkey shows.

And an eventual sequel. But whatever.

Shirley007 made this for me, and I may have cried a little because I am hormonal and happy and this is better then chocolate covered chocolate any day.

Hey blog followers.
We've been back for a few weeks now, and we have only had one tease sent into us!

If you want to see your fic teases up then please fill out the form above or click here and fill the form out, we'll gladly put your teasers up every Monday! Please get them in by Sunday (6-00pm GMT) and they'll be up, because we make sure that the post goes up at a certain time and I can't post while I'm at work!

If you'd like to be a member of our team please let me know by filling the form out that is on top as well.

As for new affiliates, we've had a few e-mails saying that our button link doesn't work. If you'd like to affiliate we will send you the code you put up on your site. Or if you can sort it out yourselves please e-mail the blog at: fortheloveofnoncanon@gmail.com, Beckie on: becky.treble@gmail.com or KC at: kittysmithkc@googlemail.com to let us know you have put it up, along with a link and pic link to your own site so we can add to our affiliates page.

Redemption of the Heart

What I bring to the table for you today is what I am sure is going to be an awe-inspiring collab of two excellent authors. And I mean, come on; it's Carlisle and Bella! 

It's not cheesy, as often Rare-Pairs tend to be.  I hate reading a fic where it's just a little to far fetched, or AU that you get a little lost.  It's realistic in the fact that Carlisle is still Carlisle, and Bella is still Bella, but each with a few years tacked on and the wisdom that comes with age. 

We get down to the knitty-gritty of the story almost instantly, a fact for which I am grateful. There is no pussy-footing around; these authors tell it like it is and expect you to believe it.  There is nothing that bores me more then excessive back-story. A little goes a long way, people, with the exception of the occasional squiggly-line flashback.   I am totally excited to see where my girls will take this fic.

She greeted me flatly, pale and shaky.

"Carlisle. I don't know about you, but I could use a fucking drink."

She spun on her heel and headed deeper into her apartment. I followed, a bit uncertain whether I was actually invited or not. I found her in the kitchen with a bottle of wine. She cursed softly as the mouth of the bottle clattered against her wine glass. She quickly gulped down half the glass and topped it off again. She clutched the refilled glass as if it would ward off evil. A bright, but completely false, smile graced her lips.

"So, San Francisco? The apartment's a little small don't you think? I mean, Mooshie and I love it. Mooshie's my cat." She paused here for a breath before launching back into her nervous babbling. "You don't eat pet cats, right? No, of course you don't...I know that! Shit, I'm babbling!"

She blushed bright red and took another large gulp of red wine. Her hands were trembling so badly that I feared for her spotless white carpeting. I reached out and plucked the almost empty glass from her shaking hands, smiling sadly, my loneliness and despair evident.

"I do not eat pets, Isabella. As for the size of the apartment, I find it perfectly adequate. I am alone now."
