Quick Message: Hey guys, it's KC, this should have been posted yesterday but I was having the biggest technology breakdown -- ever! My phone line was cut...but of course, I didn't find that out until I bought a new home hub. So finally, this morning, after a lot of cursing and tears, the internet has been restored! Damn you BT!

Hello to all our lovely FTLONC Followers! (Really had to think how to make it into an acronym...)I hope you're all well, and of course I hope you're all riddled with Eclipse Fever!

Okay, so there has been a bit of Twilight News this week -- of course, although it's mainly interviews, and as much as I love a good interview with Rob, it does get a bit dreary when in each interview he has to explain what the film is about. I'm sure you share my pain.

But, the best news I have come across this week has to be this...




The other day, I was searching around look for news, as I do...and there were at least 400 articles saying that Robert Pattinson was related to Vlad the Impaler. I really don't care if it's true or not -- it was the best piece of news I've heard for ages! As we know, Vlad the Impaler was the inspiration to Bram Stoker's Dracula.

‘Without any myth or magic, we've found vampires lurking in Pattinson's family history, making his story as supernatural as the one he's playing on the silver screen,' says Ancestry.co.uk's Dan Jones.

Aaah, I can so see the resemblance between the two! ;)

Straight from the source with Corrupted Desires

So today we bring you Corrupted Desires, author of the little known fic, My Prize, entry for the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven Contest, hosted by the lambs in March.   She's a funny lady, and a friend of mine. And she writes Peter slash!  The awesomeness is inherent. 

1. I am going to admit to feeling like a dumb ass for even asking this question, Penny, but for the sake of our dear readers, what inspired you to write My Prize?  *blushes*

*laughs* Oh, that’s an easy one. This really awesome person (You might recognize them!) that plays Peter in a role-playing game I play Edward in totally went Dom on my ass. It was an inspiring experience… and completely hot. Though that one included an airplane, just for the record.

2. What is your favorite non-canon couple?  Likewise, who do you think could really just poof off the face of fandom, and you wouldn't shed a tear?

Well, if my reading preferences are any indication, my favorite non-canon couple would have to be Jasper and Bella. Or anyone other than Jacob or Edward with Bella. Ick… Which brings me to my other answer. I would be perfectly happy if Edward and Jacob didn’t exist and over half of the time I can live completely content without Bella as well.

 

3. What brought you to the Fandom? Was it love at first sight for Twilight, or did you hate it with a brutal passion, and found yourself setting out to make it better?

What brought me into the fandom is not what brings most people, I’m sure… It was actually Cam Gigandet! Those scenes of shirtless James in the movie, well he was just very tasty at the time. Now I stick around for three reasons only: Jackson, Kellan and Peter. Though I have to say, if I didn’t work at the theatre and could see the movie for free, I’d have had nothing to do with the series. Because I seriously think they were badly written and my brain just wants to make it all better… Though I have to say, if the series were written more Midnight Sunstyle, it would have been a lot better. The thoughts Edward has toward violence to his fellow students are hilarious.

 

4. What is your ideal Peter? It is Peter week after all, and you do write a delicious Peter in My Prize.

I have to admit that I’m rather taken with my role-playing friend’s rendition of Peter. He doesn’t match theMidnight Sun description because she uses pictures of Misha Collins to represent Peter’s appearance. He’s cocky, arrogant, dominant, possessive, perverted, funny, and a bit of a douche… He’s absolutely fucking adorable and definitely a cuddler, too. Though honestly I don’t think I’d ever try to date someone like him, he’s definitely my favorite representation of Peter that I’ve found so far.

5. When are you going to update!? No just kidding. Tell us a little about the Penny behind the Penname, what makes you tic, what makes you fic'. Share with us your deepest darkest secrets.  Or...you know...just about you.

Well, if you want to get technical, the story is complete as it is. But, I do have a second part that’s a semi-continuation of My Prize that a couple of friends have lured me into writing. It’ll be done soon, though there’s no definite date on it. *winks* As for me, there’s no much to know. I read fanfics because they’re usually better than the crap that’s really out there (especially the Twilight saga). I write when an idea becomes so stuck in my head that it won’t leave me alone. I have issues with writer’s block though, so fics don’t come as easily as they did years ago when I used writing as an escape from real life. As for my deepest, darkest secret, well… *leans forward, starting to say something, and then just runs away!*

((for readers who didn't catch it, I play the Peter she's talking about.  Which is why I felt weird asking her what inspired her, since it was me.))

Oh, our dear Peter. Fun loveable, fucking know-it-all Peter. Isn't he just perfect? Peter as you should all know, ahem Kitty ahem was part of the vampire wars with our darling Jasper. Jasper's his sire, (means Jasper bit him... lucky Peter :P)

Anyway, enough of me going gaga over him.

Now I know last week, I put in a few short interviews but this week, I don't actually know any of the authors who write Peter fics apart from our lovely lifelesslyndsey who is a member of our staff and she isn't online as I'm writing this.

We need to start writing more non-canon pairings people. Get on board the creative bandwagon and get writing!

Summery: Following the advice of his wife, Peter goes to collect a lion for a prize and finds something he wasn't expecting. Entry for the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven Contest! AU Peter/Mystery

That was my blood! And those were my lips!

The most ferocious sounding roar I had heard since the Southern Wars tore from my lips as I leapt from my location. The vampire didn't stand a chance as I slammed into the slender body. I tore the hands that were moving to stop me away, slamming them to the ground as I drew my tongue through the mess of blood on the vampire's skin. The taste of the blood was bitter, but the skin tasted like chocolate that had been melted in the sun.

I moaned.

The vampire struggled again, trying to get away or to fight… I didn't know which. All I knew was that someone I had just decided was mine was trying to leave! And that wasn't fucking happening!

I reached up, twisting my fingers into the silky hair of my vampire and stared into those stunning golden eyes. I growled,

"Mine!"

Summery: Clinging to Angel ideals, trapped in a vampire body, with very human urges. He was very confused. Peter was an indecisive vampire with an identity crisis. Bella was jaded and self-isolated. In short they were perfect for each other.

He swallowed hard, grabbing my hand and yanking me closer to him in the tiny cab of my truck until I was blanketed in his wings and arms. It was awkward, and probably uncomfortable, but I could feel his tension pulsing hot in the air, as he clung to me, whispering in my ear.

"You can never come back."

Tuesday Newsday!

Hello everybody, this is MsKittyCullen hoping that you've all had a fantastic weekend!

As we know there have been a lot of excitement surround the Breaking Dawn films - even though they won't start filming Part One until September. Although, Breaking Dawn: Part Two is being targeted this week as they have a ton of characters to cast. So, Summit are currently on the search to find some vampire-like people to fit the bill. Seriously, if you just type in 'Breaking Dawn Auditions' there is a pile of websites which tell you what you need to include in your acting resume and where to send them. Not that I'd be up for such a job - I'm still working on my Vampire growl. Personally, I'm looking forward to see who they cast as Tanya.







Also this week, the internet has been buzzing that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson could be doing another film together post-Breaking Dawn. Great.
It has been confirmed that Summit has bought the rights to do an adaptation of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. I've never read the book, but I always thought it was somewhat factual more than fictional. Please, correct me if I'm wrong. So, it will be interesting to see how Summit converts the book into a film. Although, I think I will need a break from Rob and Kristen starring in another film together. No offence to Robsten fans.

But what do you think of them co-starring in another film together?




Also, I found a really funny article about R-Pattz and his FAME issue. It's about how the illustrator sucked the beauty away from Rob, and in some pictures made his face look like a sort of...dehydrated potato. Click here to see the article.

Also this week, I heard that Hilton Garden Inn are going to be at all TwiHards aid while they are doing their ritual three day camping, waiting for the Eclipse Premier.

Hilton Garden Inn is sending their “Big Day Brigade” to hand out pillows, blankets, water, trivia cards, beach balls, etc. to help fans get the rest and entertainment they need to prepare for the big event. They’ll be there on Wednesday afternoon when the line is sure to be outrageous. Fans should keep a look out for the team in bright yellow shirts labeled HGI Big Day Brigade but they can also log on to the following Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/HiltonGardenInn and tell us where they are in line so we can come find them.
